ASMPT Americas welcomes industry to successful Open House in Guadalajara

ASMPT Americas opened the doors of its Guadalajara facility this week for a well-attended Open House, where the latest SMT innovations and advanced manufacturing concepts took center stage. The event also marked the official opening of the upgraded Center of Competence, now equipped with a fully integrated production line for Printing, SPI, Placement, and AOI — all seamlessly connected via IPC Hermes and IPC CFX protocols.
The day kicked off with engaging expert presentations on Industry 4.0, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and Advanced Packaging. Insights from local government leaders and university professors added extra depth, sparking lively discussions on the region’s manufacturing future.
Attendees were then invited to explore three immersive technical sessions. At Welcome to the CoC, visitors experienced a live demo of the Hermes-enabled line, featuring automatic board width change, operator guidance through WORKS Operations, and full-line process analysis via WORKS Optimization. The Greater Capability session showcased the SIPLACE SX in large server board applications, with demonstrations of large BGA handling, special nozzle use, PCB inspection, and other advanced features. Meanwhile, Process Isolation offered a deep dive into print process defects, systematic cause identification, and machine-based process optimization tools, from coplanarity control to full process audits.
Beyond the technical program, the Open House offered a vibrant networking atmosphere, giving participants the chance to connect with peers, explore collaborative opportunities, and engage directly with ASMPT experts.
