Last week, the 25th EE-Kolleg took place in Colonia de Sant Jordi on Mallorca - an anniversary edition that not only impressed with its dreamlike setting, but above all with its high-calibre presentations, in-depth discussions and intensive networking. Under the guiding theme of "The future of manufacturing: additive technologies, excellence in design and management strategies", the electronics manufacturing industry came together to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the future. The foundations for a successful congress were laid right from the start on Wednesday afternoon: In summery weather, familiar faces, new participants and experts met for the first exchange. The atmosphere was open, collegial and characterised by the common goal of sharing knowledge and driving innovation forward. Specialist presentations with depth - from material analyses to change strategies One of the highlights of the first day was the presentation by Viktoria Rawinski (Rawinski GmbH), who impressed the audience with her expertise in the field of material analysis in electronics production. Her practical insights once again underlined the importance of precise analyses for the quality and reliability of modern products. Further impulse came from Prof. Isabel Welpe, whose presentation "Strategies for change: the power of innovation" demonstrated how important strategic adjustments and an innovative mindset are for companies undergoing change. Her presentation laid the foundation for the subsequent panel discussion, which was one of the absolute highlights of the morning. Discussion at eye level - CEO panel focussing on transformation Under the moderation of Prof Welpe, the CEOs of the organising companies discussed topics such as artificial intelligence, competitiveness, transformation and working from home. The open, practical contributions gave the audience a multi-layered insight into the current challenges and showed approaches to solutions that go beyond the bounds. An event from the industry for the industry As co-organisers of the EE-Kolleg, we at ASMPT are extremely satisfied with how the event went. The on-site team led by CEO Josef Ernst as well as Jörg Grote, Madeleine Grimm, Sandro Mette and Alessandro Bonara used the opportunity not only to provide their own impulse, but additionally engaged in active dialogue with the specialist community. The EE-Kolleg offered an impressive range of topics in its anniversary edition - from additive manufacturing in sensor and electronics production and advances in power electronics to sustainability, AI and new innovation strategies in manufacturing. All of these topics reflect the dynamism of the industry and show that technological progress must always be linked to strategic foresight. A strong signal for the future The 25th EE-Kolleg not only celebrated a milestone, but also gave a look ahead to the next 25 years, in which change, innovation and collaboration will continue to be the drivers of the industry.
ASMPT would like to thank all participants, speakers and co-organisers for a successful event - and looks forward to the next chapter. Hasta la próxima - see you again soon!
