Use of Personal Information collected at events (Virtual/Non-Virtual)

In addition to the general information on data protection, which you can access under this link (and in which, for example, you will find information on your rights in relation to processing), you will find further information on data protection here specifically for the use of the personal data received from you at our events (virtual / non-virtual).

If points from the general data protection notice are to be specified here or, if necessary, presented differently, the information in this topic-related data protection notice is decisive in this respect.

§ 1 Collection of personal data at events (virtual / non-virtual)
We only collect the personal data that you have provided to us during the event or previously in the registration process.

This is done either by entering it on the relevant website, using a contact form, or by sending an email. We may also receive the data from the person who registers you for an event and provides your data for this purpose.

In doing so, we process the following personal data:

• Personal master data (e.g. salutation, title, first name, last name, etc.)
• Company data (e.g. company name, function, position, etc.)
• Address data (e.g. address, zip code, city, country, etc.)
• Contact details (e.g. telephone number, e-mail address, etc.)
• Event data (e.g. date, time, invitation, cancellations, messages in chats, confirmations of participation, if applicable)
• Additional information (e.g. (different) billing address, information from surveys)

In addition to the aforementioned data, we do not collect any other personal data. If you also contact us separately, we will also process information on possible queries about our products, specific requests for quotations or questions in connection with the event. Otherwise, we do not collect any other personal data in this context.

The collected data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. In the event that the data is collected for the purpose of sending product information and/or offers, your personal data will be stored in our CRM system and, unless further contact is made, will be deleted after eight weeks. The processing is carried out in order to send you product information or other information that you have requested. The processing of your data thus serves the implementation of pre-contractual measures and the execution of the contract when participating in the event or our justified, economic interest in sending you information as your company's contact person, for example in order to prepare a contract with your employer. The legal basis is therefore in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 letter b or f GDPR.

§ 2 Surveys, Confirmations of Participation

§ 2.1 Surveys

If surveys are conducted during the event or in the run-up to it (possibly in preparation for special topics), we will process your personal data exclusively for these purposes.

If we use commissioned service providers for surveys, this is always done on the basis of concluded data protection agreements based on currently valid legal requirements.

§ 2.3 Confirmations of participation

If confirmations of participation are handed out (digitally or in paper form) after an event (virtual / non-virtual), your personal data will be used exclusively for the preparation of the confirmations of participation. If we use commissioned service providers for this purpose, this is always done on the basis of concluded data protection agreements based on currently valid legal requirements.

§ 3 No obligation to provide
They are neither contractually nor legally obliged to provide us with their personal data. However, the provision of personal data is required in order for you to participate in the event. If you do not provide us with the required data, you will unfortunately not be able to participate in the event.
