SMT topics in focus
ASM Assembly Systems (ASM) returns to Americas-based live events with its participation in the upcoming SMTA International (SMTAi) Conference and Exhibition in Minneapolis, MN. Co-located with the Medical Device & Manufacturing (MD&M) trade show, the Nov. 1 – 4 SMTAi provides an ideal venue for ASM to display its smart factory solutions designed for high-efficiency, high-reliability operations of any size. From closed loop stencil printing systems to the latest-generation component placement technologies to line-level control software, ASM’s integrated technology suite delivers the productivity necessary to be competitive in an Industry 4.0 world.
Print and Verify
ASM’s ultra-flexible DEK NeoHorizon 03iX, with alignment capability of ±12.5 µm @ 2.0 Cmk, (±6 Sigma), offers excellent precision in combination with a high-speed 8 sec. core cycle time. Designed with adaptability in mind, the modular DEK NeoHorizon 03iX allows unmatched customization of features – whether cleaning, inspection and/or tooling technologies, to name a few. At SMTAi 2021, the DEK NeoHorizon 03iX will be shown in line with ASM’s ProcessLens, the benchmark for self-learning SPI systems. Together with advanced DEK printing technology, ProcessLens offers exceptional control and optimization of the printing process, which is a requirement for high-reliability EMS operations and mission-critical medical manufacturing.
Complemented by a range of DEK process support products (PSP) such as VectorGuard stencil systems, mesh-mount stencils, award-winning tooling technologies and optimized understencil cleaning solutions and fabrics, ASM ensures every aspect of the screen printing operation is aligned for successful outcomes. New substrate support systems that facilitate improved printing precision – such as ASM Flex support, MASS (Multiple Alignment of Singulated Substrates) and next-generation carriers – will be shown in ASM booth #3025 at SMTAi.
Placement Without Compromise
Whether the production ambition is high speed, high flexibility or both, ASM’s placement portfolio is without equal. Displaying its midspeed powerhouse E by SIPLACE as well as the high-speed, high-accuracy, small-footprint SIPLACE TX, ASM will demonstrate flexibility, performance, and smart factory connectivity across its platform range. Each has IIoT interfaces that allow integration into line and factory software systems (ASM OIB, IPC-HERMES-9852, IPC-CFX, MES) with workflow solutions for process setup, material management, factory integration and remote maintenance via ASM Remote Smart Factory. Intelligence, efficiency, reliability and resilience are built into every SIPLACE machine to enable connected factories across varying operational environments and market sectors.
Control of all systems at the line level for maximum efficiency, uptime and yield is what ASM Works software suite delivers. Modular and powerful, the single package ASM Works allows manufacturers to build a highly customizable software infrastructure that aligns with production objectives while ensuring easy set-up for seamless, integrated electronics manufacturing. The core package is foundational and inclusive of smart functionalities such as data exchange, operator guidance, process optimization, monitoring and remote support. From there, ASM Works upgrade modules --such as planning, preparation and traceability -- can be added when needed. In a dedicated software area of the ASM SMTAi exhibit, visitors can view and experience ASM Works functionality first-hand.
SMTAi and MD&M show delegates are invited to meet with ASM technologists in booth #3025 to discuss specific requirements and take part in on-demand demonstrations. To schedule an on-site meeting at SMTAi, send an email to email@example.com or call 224-345-0296.
