Singapore, Sep 14, 2022 – Technology leader ASMPT will present at this year’s Nepcon Vietnam trade fair (Hanoi, September 14-16, Booth K07–K13) a broad spectrum of hardware and software solutions for the Integrated Smart Factory. The main focus at ASMPT's booth will be on the gradual and economically feasible automation with the company's Open Automation concept – the alternative to rigid, inflexible, expensive and usually highly proprietary zero-operator strategies.
“We are pleased that the Nepcon Vietnam is finally back again for the first time since 2019xx years,” explains Mr Bay Kim Meng, Business Development Manager at ASMPT Vietnam. “A lot has happened in the last two years, and we will be able to show our customers and other interested parties many true innovations, including, for example, our Process Lens HD, the fastest high-end SPI system on the market today. We will also demonstrate our open and modular Open Automation concept on our “touchless line” along with smart process optimization solutions and a whole lot more. We want to present ourselves to the Vietnamese market as a provider with a complete portfolio from sales to services.
Industry-leading automation concept ASMPT’s open, flexible and non-proprietary Open Automation concept gives users the freedom they need to determine how much of their production they want to automate and how quickly. Open Automation utilizes a modular and seamless M2M communication using open standards between third-party solutions and existing systems. The result is a smart SMT factory with just the right amount of automation and a maximized return on investment.
Extensive exhibits at the booth At the center of ASMPT's Nepcon presentation will be the “touchless line”, on which we demonstrate with real-life applications what efficiency and productivity improvements electronics manufacturers can achieve with the Open Automation concept. The line consists of the latest generation of ASMPT's DEK TQ printing solution, the Process Lens SPI system, and the SIPLACE TX placement solution. Through practical applications, visitors will learn how much automation is already possible and economically feasible today – up to autonomous printing process control and optimization with the world’s first self-learning expert SPI system consisting of the company's Process Lens and the smart WORKS Process Expert software solution. In three live shows per day, ASMPT personnel will demonstrate automatic product changeovers and the placement of super-small 0201 metric components. At other stations at the booth, ASMPT will demonstrate smart software solutions for things like efficient and automated staff deployment, extensive traceability, optimized material usage, and much more. In addition, ASMPT's subsidiary Critical Manufacturing will present its Critical Manufacturing MES solution, which was specially designed to meet the needs of the SMT industry. Since good service is critically important as well, visitors can also learn about knowledge transfer via the ASMPT Academy, convenient material supplies via the 24/7 Webshop, asset and maintenance management for predictive maintenance, and other ASMPT offerings that make operators’ everyday workloads a lot easier.
